Our Auto-Ship ProgramsThere are several on-going series of Cross Stitch designs that have become our customer favorites. They come from some of our favorite designers, and are released at regular intervals.
|
Our auto-ship programs for these various sets let you be among the very first to receive them, as soon as they're released! We do add a nominal shipping charge to them, but since they generally go US mail, it's not cost-prohibitive each time. Choose several options with our autos:
(Note: when you order an auto-ship, it may show up on your order form as a "zero-cost" or $.01 item, as we won't charge your credit card until we ship the kit.)
2013 Loose Feathers Series from Blackbird Designs Blackbird has a pretty new leaflet... it celebrates an 1800's sampler stitched by someone named Agnes Platt. Re-charted and coded for Gentle Art Sampler threads, Barb and Alma have pulled out design elements and designed new projects inspired by the sampler. There were evidently lots of specialty stitches in the original -- and they have made SURE that they kept them in when they re-charted the piece for us. There is a beeskep done in Satins, a couple of floral urns -- one features berries worked in Queen Stitches. So... you get the original sampler -- re-charted. Alma's design is a pretty floral urn, Barb's is a red brick house with that charming skep. As always, beautiful pictures, lots of inspiration... and gorgeous, GORGEOUS colors in all the projects! We begin a NEW 2013 Loose Feathers Automatic beginning with this leaflet. The 30ct R & R linen is here... a fat quarter will do all the projects in the leaflet, we understand!
Song of the Seasons from Little House NeedleworksWell, part one is here! Unfortuately, Lindy isn't! So your Weary Webmaster is once again trying to write a description that I'm totally incompetent to write. I have put up the cover pic, as well as a pic of the fabric and flosses. I was at the shop yesterday and thought this combination of linen and flosses was just stunning, so I just had to show them to you. We still have no pic at all showing what this design looks like, but I know you experienced stitchers can take one look at the chart and see it in your artistic minds! Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks joins the designers that have contributed to this fun sampler program through-out the last few years -- and this one promises to be SUPER-CUTE! We never get a pic of the finished piece *till it's finished.* Hence, the MYSTERY!
But we know this: Stitch count is 151 x 178. Recommended fabric is Week's Dye Works Straw. We carry it in 30, 35 and 40ct -- so you have a choice with your fabric count. It uses 12 skeins of Week's Dye Works hand-dyed flosses -- multiple skeins of a few of the colors. Your first installment -- which includes the first chart with the thread key for all three parts -- ship to us on June 11th. We will ship the fabric and flosses at that time. Part two releases July 9th, and part three on August 6th. (Please give the post office and UPS time to deliver to us, and then to re-deliver to you!) NOOOOO other news yet... just let us know your fabric preference, and whether or not you want the floss... and we'll get you on that auto-list ASAP! Charts will run $8.00 each.. (***FYI: The previous 4 Mystery Samplers are still available. Can you name them all? #1 was With Thy Needle, #2 was La-D-Da, #3 was Lizzie Kate, #4 was Blue Ribbon Designs. Pics of all are on the respective designer pages if you're curious!)
The Lettered Border Series from Just NanNan is beginning a 4-part set of seasonal samplers -- each with a charming 'cottage/abode/home' in the center -- surrounded by a larger-than-life floral border, reminiscent of antique samplers. (Don't think you can see the over-one alphabet letters in the border -- choose those initials special to YOUR family.) The first -- Spring in the Tulips -- features a soft buttermilk yellow house complete with springtime bunnies in the yard and the effervescent springtime blooms in the garden's urn. Very bold and eye-catching, this dynamic design is a mere 9 x 9 on 32ct Platinum Linen. Stitched with 16 different DMC cotton shades and 2 Gentle Art Sampler Threads... the border draws your interest into the center to discover the lovely, classic house. (A favorite feature of antique samplers -- the gorgeous flowing border, and a neat tiny pastoral scene somewhere in the piece.) Offered as the chart with a few bead embellishments, we will be treated to Offered as the leaflet and embellishments... linen is separate. We will be auto-shipping the other three leaflets and their linen in this series... join that process if you love not having to remember just when to catch up ... we'll keep you there!!!!
2013 Tiny Ornaments from Just NanJoining Gingerbread Mouse (sold out) and Honey Bunny (also sold out!) comes Barnabee. He's a little bee flying around the garden looking for Scarlet and Bella! Stitched on 32ct cream Belfast linen in DMC flosses, he is actually a small pin keep, but you could hide a threader or some buttons and needles inside him as well. Just a small thing, his stitching measures 2 x 3, and since he folds over to create the case, his finished size is 1-1/2 x 1-3/4. Garnished with blue and yellow (peanut!) beads, black metal eye beads, glitter tulle for his wings, a bit of wire for his antennae, and bumblebee ribbon for his hanger, he's a colorful little guy. Offered as the chart with embellishments as a LIMITED EDITION... he will not be around for long. Nan is promising 4 more ornaments in this set -- coming between August and December. We have an auto-ship if you'd like -- it begins with Barnabee, but you can add Honey Bunny till ours are sold out!

![]() The Hometown Holiday Series from Little House Needleworks
Little House Needleworks is beginning a set of designs -- The Hometown Holiday Series. It will be a set (undisclosed number of designs in the set at this point) of small charts of houses and businesses in *A Village.* Diane does NOT have specific release dates for each subsequent pattern... and is not planning a monthly release for this set. (She's releasing as she finishes them... and is happy with her results.) The idea is to stitch them (on any fabric YOU LIKE BEST!) and finish them as small stand-ups. As your collection in *The Village* grows... you can arrange your stand-ups in any order you wish! They will not all be the same dimensions... but will follow a cohesive color palette. The first pattern is supposed to depict YOUR house. The second 'Main Street Station' is a cute train depot (due in our shop approx mid-April???) Third will be Caroling Quartet and 4th is planned to be a Sweet Shop. (remember NO scheduled release dates at this time.) No plans to put it all on one piece of fabric either... so this is just a *heads-up* to pay attention and watch for Hometown Holiday Designs!!! My House measures 49 x 59 stitches and features DMC or Crescent flosses. Offered as the small chart -- no button embellishment.
![]() Little Sheep Virtues from Little House Needleworks Just a sneak peek into Little House Needlework's 2013 monthly series of small designs -- beginning to ship mid-January. Diane is doing 12 - 61 x 61 stitch count designs -- each containing a sheep, a virtue, a button and at least one heart. Finished onto Week's Dye Works wools (perfect for those little sheep!), fabrics used each month will be 30ct hand-dyed. Virtues addressed are: Hope, Love, Peace, Courage, Faith, Simplicity, Patience, Wisdom, Friendship, Kindness, Gratitude and Joyfulness. Our monthly automatic ship will include the chart and button. You have the option to get fabric each month -- or not! And... of course... you also have the option of picking up the charts individually as you like them, and skipping the auto! We *anticipate* charts with the button to run $8ish, and fabric cuts approx $6.50 each. Auto begins with January 2013 chart, and ends with December 2013. For Example, if you join this auto in *May*, you have the option to go forward May to December... or CATCH UP, which means you will receive all the charts previously released up to the current release, and will continue till the end.
![]() Country Cottage Needlework's Santa's Village -- 2013! Nikki Leeman has announced brief details for her new 2013 series of designs -- Santa's Village. The first design ships the last week of November -- entitled Santa's House. All the rest in the set will ship one-chart-per-month for a total of 12 designs. Each chart is a different building in her village, here are the names -- in the order they will be released. Santa's House; Poinsettia Place; North Pole Post Office; Mrs Claus' Cookie Shop; Santa's Stocking Store; Reindeer Stables; Christmas Tree Farm; Candy Cane Cottage; Santa's Sleighworks; Gingerbread Emporium; Elves Workshop; and Hot Cocoa Cafe.
You can stitch them all individually, or join them on one piece of fabric -- each has a stitch count of 72 x 88 -- which
finishes approx 4-1/2 x 5-1/2 on 32ct Lambswool linen. Suggested group placement is 3 rows of 4 buildings each - which requires a 24 x 24 cut of the linen. There is also a button featured on each building for a little extra charm! Soooo... you have options here! Pick up each chart as you like it... or join our auto-ship for the set. Next decide on fabric. You can stitch these on just about anything -- YOU CHOOSE your favorite -- and let us know what you'd like best. Big chunk or enough to stitch individually? (need to purchase all smaller pieces together so dye lots match...) This promises to be a cute set of designs... and we can help with all those decisions!!! Auto begins with Santa's House in December of 2012, and will end in November of 2013. If you join this auto anytime in 2013, you have the option to CATCH UP - meaning you'll get all the previously released months -- OR simply begin with the current month's release. You will continue till the end.

Fun Every Day: A Perpetual Calendar from SamSarah Design StudioWow, this is a cool project -- not for the weak-of-stitcher -- it's a 48-piece calendar of months of the year, days of the week, numbers of the days, and lots of special holidays thrown in.. Sam Sarah is beginning a 12-part leaflet series that will deliver you 48 different panels of all the necessary numbers and names -- to create a calendar for every day of every year -- till you lose half the pieces 20 years from now! Displayed on a metal frame (in pic)... each leaflet will deliver 4 - 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 designs -- a day, month, number (or two) or holiday. Each design is a new panel in your calendar. The first leaflet delivers Tuesday, January, 1st. (The first day in 2013.) Each month, you'll get 4 more panel designs to add to your calendar -- yes -- you'll have to work for a year before you can really use all of this! (I did ask Patti: 'Hey, do they have to wait till next March to get a Monday card? She remarked that no Mondays till next March might really be a POSITIVE thing... and not to worry. This IS what it is!
![]() Gonna take time to present, collect and stitch!) So... use up extra threads -- not all the cards have to match! (we have 20 different perforated paper options on our Mill Hill pages) .. PERSONALIZE your months and dates -- add embellishments, names, anything... *make this your own!* It takes 4 packages of perforated paper -- but you might not even want all the cards to be stitched on the same color... Just think about getting the metal hanging frame in the beginning, so you can display your stitching in progress for the year! Really a cute project -- there is an awful lot of stitching in this. Perf Paper is great to travel with to ball games and easy to see in the car -- a plus! Offered as a set of 12 leaflets... the cards -- 8-1/2 x 3-1/4 -- (hanging on the rack) are offered in packs of 50. You'll need a total of 4 packages of perf paper... lots of floss and time... and the metal holder. We'll do an auto ship of the leaflets -- please order Hang Tags, perforated paper and metal Rack as you want them. Definitely a project full of fun, easy cross-stitching!!!!! NOTE: This auto began with the January Leaflet in late 2012. As of January, 2013... we are already up to the month of May. This auto ends with the December leaflet. The MONTHS on the leaflets DO NOT coordinate to the current months of the year! In February 2013, we will be shipping the June leaflet! So... when you join this auto and CATCH UP... you will receive leaflets January thru the current one with your first shipment.

She comes as a chart, and each month -- on the auto-Ship -- we're sending that chart along with the clay buttons and pins. We have fun fabrics available... so if you don't want to raid your stash... we can send that 30ct hand-dyed as well!!! Don't you just love her??? This auto began in February 2012. With the release of the October angel in January of 2013, we still have two more to go.
