Song of the Seasons
A new Mystery Sampler is in the works and COMING!!!!! Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks joins the designers that have contributed to this fun sampler program through-out the last few years -- and this one promises to be SUPER-CUTE! We never get a pic of the finished piece *till it's finished* hence, the MYSTERY! But we know this: Stitch count is 151 x 178. Recommended fabric is Week's Dye Works Straw. We carry it in 30, 35 and 40ct -- so you have a choice with your fabric count. It uses 12 skeins of Week's Dye Works hand-dyed flosses -- multiple skeins of a few of the colors.
Your first installment -- which includes the first chart with the thread key for all three parts -- ship to us on June 11th. We will ship the fabric and flosses at that time. Part two releases July 9th, and part three on August 6th. (Please give the post office and UPS time to deliver to us, and then to re-deliver to you!) NOOOOO other news yet... just let us know your fabric preference, and whether or not you want the floss... and we'll get you on that auto-list ASAP! Charts will run $8.00 each.
(***FYI: The previous 4 Mystery Samplers are still available. Can you name them all? #1 was With Thy Needle, #2 was La-D-Da, #3 was Lizzie Kate, #4 was Blue Ribbon Designs. Pics of all are on the respective designer pages if you're curious!)
The Hometown Holiday Series
Little House Needleworks is beginning a set of designs -- The Hometown Holiday Series. It will be a set (undisclosed number of designs in the set at this point) of small charts of houses and businesses in *A Village.* Diane does NOT have specific release dates for each subsequent pattern... and is not planning a monthly release for this set. (She's releasing as she finishes them... and is happy with her results.)
The idea is to stitch them (on any fabric YOU LIKE BEST!) and finish them as small stand-ups. As your collection in *The Village* grows... you can arrange your stand-ups in any order you wish! They will not all be the same dimensions... but will follow a cohesive color palette.
The first pattern is supposed to depict YOUR house. The second 'Main Street Station' is a cute train depot (due in our shop approx mid-April???) Third will be Caroling Quartet and 4th is planned to be a Sweet Shop. (remember NO scheduled release dates at this time.) No plans to put it all on one piece of fabric either... so this is just a *heads-up* to pay attention and watch for Hometown Holiday Designs!!! My House measures 49 x 59 stitches and features DMC or Crescent flosses. Offered as the small chart -- no button embellishment.
Little Sheep Virtues
Just a sneak peek into Little House Needlework's 2013 monthly series of small designs -- beginning to ship mid-January. Diane is doing 12 - 61 x 61 stitch count designs -- each containing a sheep, a virtue, a button and at least one heart.
Finished onto Week's Dye Works wools (perfect for those little sheep!), fabrics used each month will be 30ct hand-dyed. Virtues addressed are: Hope, Love, Peace, Courage, Faith, Simplicity, Patience, Wisdom, Friendship, Kindness, Gratitude and Joyfulness.
Our monthly automatic ship will include the chart and button. You have the option to get fabric each month -- or not! And... of course... you also have the option of picking up the charts individually as you like them, and skipping the auto! We *anticipate* charts with the button to run $8ish, and fabric cuts approx $6.50 each.
Auto begins with January 2013 chart, and ends with December 2013. For Example, if you join this auto in *May*, you have the option to go forward May to December... or CATCH UP, which means you will receive all the charts previously released up to the current release, and will continue till the end.
Oh, this is CUTE! That darling bird has on her glasses -- and see? -- she's reading a book! We love her checkered wing and her tulip tail... we love the colors and the fat leaves down at the bottom.
Just a fun design, it is offered as a small chart and worked in DMC or hand-dyed flosses. Finishes approx 6 x 6.
You may want this as a room sign at the entrance to your *Stitching Haven!* Finishing approx 4 x 15 on 30ct R & R hand-dyed linen, this is stitched in Crescent Colour's hand-dyed flosses. The colors are just GORGEOUS together -- Khaki Mocha, Polliwog, Roasted Chestnut, Caterpillar, Pebble Beach and Red Currant... all soft, deep, dusty colors.
Do you notice the threaded needle in the design? The bird on the left is pulling the thread out from the needle! Offered as kit of chart and Crescent flosses, classic and simple.
Orchard Valley Quilting Bee
Little House Needleworks has a new sampler, quite a bit larger than most of her other things. Measuring 241 x 241 stitches (17 x 17 on 28ct!) it depicts the ladies, houses and farms of the Bee! Their quilt in the center, Diane advises that you can change names in here, and stitch any of the squares individually if you want.
Coded for regular DMC floss, just a simple, very pretty piece! Offered as the chart.
Vanilla and Chocolate
Like Ebony and Ivory living together in perfect harmony... V & C make a classic couple! Little House has a cute piece that is stitched -- appropriately -- on 30ct Week's Cocoa Linen!
Finishing approx 3-1/2 x 8-1/2... it is featured on the cover of a ready-hand-made Thread Armoire by Impie, Hattie & Bea. Offered as a chart with fabric thread-book available separately!
Mary Ann Myers
Little House has a new reproduced sampler... Mary Ann Myers, dated 1827. Offered as a chart, Diane has converted the original threads to Belle Soie by Crescent Colours -- and has chosen a color palette of Evergreen, Teddy Bear, Vanilla Pudding, Weathered Vine (2 needed), and Pecan Pie. Stitched over two threads (most parts) on hand-dyed 28ct Natural Straw Gingham Linen, the fabric just makes this piece!
Such a fun, homespun look, the Straw color is very gentle and offers a really pretty background to this piece. We don't know much about Mary Ann Myers... but Diane was enchanted by the design at the bottom of this sampler... and chose it to re-chart for us!
Bear Tree Forest
Little House Needleworks has a new piece that needs to hang in your cabin-in-the-woods (if you are lucky enough to have one), and there's even room to personalize it with your family name! Squirrels and acorns, pines and a snowman in the yard, there are also The Three Bears visiting!!!!!
Stitched on 30ct Weeks Tin Roof Linen -- a neat mangy, wintery gray -- with both DMC and hand-dyeds from your collection, this finishes approx 5 x 13. There is no alternative alphabet for your family or cabin's name... but I bet you can figure out something, if need be. A restful, quiet winter scene, offered as a chart.
2012 Monthly Ornament Series
Little House Needleworks begins her 2012 set of 12 monthly ornament-sized designs with *Blessed* -- I think she could double as a bride! Offered in small chart format, each month will call for a different color of 30ct Week's Dye Works hand-dyed linen, along with a smattering of hand-dyed flosses from your stash. This first design accents Crescent Colour's new hand-dyed chenille cotton trim around the finished edge.
I don't know if the rest of the finished pieces will feature special trims -- we just need to be patient to find out! We are beginning an auto-ship this year on these... chart only or chart and linen. I'll let you know if trim will become an option! Blessed is stitched on 30ct Cocoa, fabric pieces each month will measure approx 9 x 9.
Little House has a new design... a comforting piece... full of little houses and sheep... all organized and tranquil.
Stitched on 32ct Lambswool (how appropriate!) linen, it finishes approx 3-1/2 x 14-1/2. Offered as a chart, it is coded for DMC and hand-dyeds.
A plaid saltbox! Finishing 6-1/2 x 8-1/2 on 30ct... charted for DMC and hand-dyeds.
Take Me Out To The Ballgame
Little House Needleworks has a charming scene-of-old, taking us back to the days of ball games at a summer fair. Dirt blowing all around the field and bleachers... the yummy fresh-popping popcorn smells... the cheers of the crowd... the decorations... everything about this piece is endearing... right down to the uneven bricks in the dugout walls! Worked on 30ct Straw Linen by Weeks, this measures approx 12 x 5 and is stitched with both overdyeds and DMCs.
So, so cute... frame it with stubbs you have from your World Series tickets! Frame it in a shadow box with an old baseball shirt! Do you have even one or two old baseball cards??? What about pics of your kids on the plate??? There are lots of family possibilities with this one!!! Offered as a chart.
Pumpkin Patch Inn
Pumpkins, vines and the house... great Fall color... stitched on Week's 30ct Parchment Linen, this finishes approx 7-1/2 x 7-1/2.
Offered as the chart.
Around the World in 80 Days
This design commemorates Jules Verne's famous book, published in 1873. Phileas Fogg and an employee attempt to circumnavigate the globe in 80 days... on a bet! Actually, the balloon was barely mentioned in the book... Verne considered it very risky, if not impossible at that time. But was prominently featured in the 1956 movie and even the movie's promotional poster.
Stitched with Gentle Art, Weeks and Crescent Colours, this is neat whether you like Jules Verne or not! Offered as a chart, it finishes approx 7 x 7 on 32ct.
Charming! 93 x 93 Stitch count, coded for DMC or Crescent Colours hand-dyeds.
What a pretty piece -- the sweetheart waiting for her sailor to come home across the foaming sea. Finishing approx 10 x 16-1/2 on 30ct Cocoa Linen, this is stitched in either DMC or a mixture of hand-dyed flosses. It has all the design elements everyone loves -- the seaside cottage, the billowing sails on the ship, whales and waves -- and all the dusty, nautical colors that remind one of the seashore.
'To the journey's end ye roam upon the foaming sea, Nantucket waits to see thy sails as my heart waits for thee.' Offered as a chart.
Two Yellow Houses
Finishes approx 4 x 9... Diane mentions that she has Two Blue, Red and White Houses charted as well... I'm thinking you can change some colors if you like!
A tiny house on not so tiny of a hill... see the grazing sheep? Offered as a small chart -- finishing approx 4 x 8. DMCs or hand-dyeds.
The Four Corners
Little House has a charming design to celebrate the 4-Corners of our country! The compass in the center... and all the charming houses in the North, South, East and West... this is a neat design to hang in a foyer, a cabin-in-the-woods somewhere... a vacation condo... you name it! Finishing approx 11 x 11, we are offering it as the set of all the charts, without the flosses.
Originally presented by Crescent as individual thread packs of three different parts to the entire design... it was orig $54 for everything. We have separated the threads from the charts, and are offering the chart-only option to the cute piece. We carry all the pretty Crescent Colours flosses to support this design, and can send along any that your precious stash doesn't already own! Have fun traveling to the 4 corners of the USA!
A Set of the Four Seasons
Tidy Band Samplers -- all 4 follow the same design format, so they'll look really nice together if you hang them that way.
They will interchange perfectly on the wall, too, in case you decorate for each season! Size is approx. 4 x 10.
Once Upon a Time
from Little House Needleworks and Crescent Colours
OHHH... this is a new three-part set -- Dream, Hope & Believe! Do you have a tiny princess in your life??? What about anyone who needs a little extra hope??? Dream is Cinderella's Carriage! Hope and Believe are princesses and castles... coming next!
Designed by Little House Needleworks and presented with the hand-dyed flosses by Crescent Colours, Dream is part one of three! Finishes approx 6 inches square... JUST BY ITSELF... this is enchanting!!! Stitch each individually, or save them to stitch together as one. Offered as the chart with Belle Soie Silks.
Adam and Eve
Created from elements seen in an original sampler designed by Elizabeth Hancock dated 1831... a traditional Adam and Eve piece -- this finishes approx 7 x 7 on 32ct.
Louisa B Snow Sampler
This is a reproduction of an antique sampler Diane has purchased. What you are seeing is the ACTUAL sampler stitched on the original Penelope Needlepoint canvas. You are seeing the original stains and the blue lines that are always woven into the canvas. Stitched in either Crescent Colours Belle Soie Silk of hand-dyed cottons... you will need to stain your piece to look like the original.
Unless you stitch the blue lines on your linen, or use the Penelope Canvas -- your piece will not have those blue lines running through it. Other than those words of warning... the verse is fun because it talks about wasting time!!! The rose border at the bottom is lush and pretty, too! Offered as the chart, this finishes almost 18 x 16 on 28ct.
A Stitcher's Heart
from Shakespeare's Peddler and Little House Needleworks
Oh... this set of stitched pieces is PRETTY!!!!!! A Market Special Limited Edition Collaboration between Little House Needleworks and Shakespeare's Peddler, Diane offers the most charming elongated heart pin cushion, while Teresa made a long tube-shape sit-about. The charts come together along with another bonus Little House chart, a package of Crescent's hand-dyed 1/2 inch Bean Sprout Rik Rak... and 5 complete skeins of Crescent's Weeping Willow, Timber, Hazelnut, Stepping Stones and Clay Pot flosses. Both stitched on 32ct... (you will have enough thread to stitch both projects) the heart finishes 6 x 9-ish (smaller because it's stuffed rather than flat and framed) and features darling stitching themed motifs. Check out the edging... it is the hand-dyed Rik Rak that you gather and tack around the edges. REAL CUTE.
Next... pay attention to the roll. I hate to tell you that inside is a batting-covered paper towel roll... Teresa promises that after learning this finishing technique, you might start 're-purposing assorted tubes' from around the house! Hers reads; 'Gentle Stitches', is filled with rice or walnut shells, and trimmed on the ends with matching Week's wool and antique buttons from your stash. The package includes both charts and finishing instructions, the flosses and Rik Rak. You supply the 32/16 ct fabric and misc finishing bits (buttons and wool bits) from your stash.
Jessie Bell - Arizona Territory
'Jessie Bell was a very real girl who lived in Tucson in the Arizona Territory. She was the daughter of a railroad engineer at the time the sampler is dated, living on a prominent street in what is now the heart of downtown Tucson. Her home no longer exists, but her name lives on in this sampler.' Diane goes on to mention that she has included errors and a misspelling in her design to create an authentic flavor to the piece!
Offered as a chart, stitched with Crescent Colours hand-dyeds or DMC flosses, this finishes approx 5-1/2 x 9 on the most yummy Week's 30ct Straw linen.
Elizabeth Hancock Sampler
Diane Williams has adapted an antique sampler originally stitched in 1831 by Elizabeth Hancock. 'I sigh not for beauty nor languish for wealth...' begins the verse on this piece. Little House has reproduced only the top half of the original sampler... but kept all the mistakes and design oddities from the original in her new design.
It's a lovely piece, offered as a chart, it measures 15-3/4 x 18, worked on 30ct Weeks Straw Linen. Charted for Crescent Colors Belle Soie silk, hand-dyed flosses or regular DMC, Diane promises to present the bottom half of the original sampler -- the Adam and Eve portion -- in an upcoming chart!
New England Winter Sampler
Coverlet motifs, floral urns, the alphabet, couple, homestead and wandering border... all the traditional sampler elements are here for a wintery- wedding sampler!
Offered as a chart, this finishes almost 12 inches square on Week's 30ct Cocoa Linen. Pretty overdyeds, there is plenty of room in the bottom motif area to add lots of family personalization!
This is My Joy!
Little House has a charming Christmas design that has several stitching options to choose from (but hopefully not confuse!) This is My Joy is a small chart, finishing approx 4 x 4 on 30ct fabric. The digital pic on the front *suggests* different silk and fabric combinations. As you have probably figured out... the sky is the limit with combinations for this design. Just cute and small... this is PERFECT for a trip through your fabric and thread stash! Offered as the chart -- no fabrics or threads included.
Here is Little House's complete set of ornament designs for 2011! Cardinal Winter is presented as a small chart, and calls for Crescent Colours hand-dyed flosses, and DMC Jan, Feb and March's designs are all promised to be worked on weeks 30ct Cocoa Linen... and they are switching fabric colors every three months. The Tin Roof linen they are using on the next three ornaments is just awesome!
Absolutely charming, you can almost hear the singing birds, against the quiet of the freshly fallen snow, and the silent little rabbits! 57 x 57 Stitch count, these will all finish approx 4 x 4. Our monthly auto-ship has now finished with Good Tidings.
Warm Winter Woolens
This is fun! What a well-dressed little guy! On 32ct, the entire piece finishes approx 4-1/2 x 6-1/2. If you want to just make the sheepie, he measures just 56 x 44, and he'd be PRECIOUS stuffed into a cushion or sheep-shape and tucked into a basket. You could even stitch him in Gentle Art's Simply Wool... over-the-top yummy!
Very cute design -- offered as a small chart.
12 Days of Christmas
The classic song and poem with Little House's updated images. Of course not EVERYONE or THING in the verse is tucked on here... but Diane has done of pretty good job with it! I've hunted for all, and am stumped about the Piper -- but I'm sure he's in her somewhere and I missed him. A fun *puzzle* of the Season!
Offered as a chart, this finishes approx 8 x 12-1/2 on 32ct Summer Khaki Linen, and is stitched in good old fashioned DMC floss from your stash!!!
My Dwelling Place
An Early American flavor to me. The big willow, the stars over the house and the flag... very Home Sweet Home America to me! You can almost hear the blackbird singing!!!
Stitch count of 138 x 112.
Little Miss Sunflower
Little Miss Sunflower is charming in her sunflower garden -- I LOVE those shaded flowers! Notice that this is on 28ct hand-dyed Straw Gingham Linen? Such a great color for this, the gingham pattern makes it another Home Sweet Home kind of thing for me!
This one finishes 6 x 7-1/2... you'll definitely want that specialty fabric. LOOK at that row of blackbirds along the bottom...
Little House Needleworks has a small design stitched in 7 shades of Crescent's hand-dyed flosses of Bandana, Hazelnut, Bean Sprout -- neat colors like that!
A 7 x 4 medley of small motifs all clustered together -- like the garden surrounding that little house -- I have a sneaking suspicion we'll get the other seasons in this petite fashion!
Little House Needleworks has adapted some designs from a 1785 sampler originally stitched by Lear Wilson. A striking carnation border piece, one of Diane's contemporary house designs and Lear's original flower basket design, this is offered as a chart of all three designs.
Charted for Crescent's Belle Soie Silks, hand-dyed cottons or DMC, all are worked on Week's 30ct Cocoa Linen.
Melicent Turner Sampler
Diane has purchased her first antique sampler... and adapted the original piece with new colors! Following the original design, this finishes approx 9 x 9-1/2 on Weeks 30ct Cocoa Linen, and is worked in your choice of Crescent Colours Belle Soie Silks, cottons or DMC. Originally worked in 1809, little Melicent probably wanted to go outside and play, but instead needed to stitch her lesson!
The verse reads, 'She looketh (almost spelled wrong in the sampler!) well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness.' Offered as a chart -- absolutely charming!!!
from Little House Needleworks and Crescent ColoursLittle House Needleworks and Crescent Colours present their newest 4-season monochromatic design collection. Spring is the first... each season is stitched in only one color of Belle Soie Silk, and measures approx 6 x 6 over 2 on 30ct Weeks Cocoa. I think we're going to do our shop models over one, make 4 little cubes, and then tie the 4 cube together to make one 7 x 7-ish box stand-up! Very subtle this time around... we'll have a navy, brick red and a taupe season as well.
Offered as the chart with no silk.
Here's a perfect New Family/Household piece, new couple's initials at the top, welcoming all who enter their new home. There are peacocks in the yard -- but I bet you can find one of Little House's cats or dogs on another of her patterns, in case you want to personalize the family pets.
Pretty house and willows, use the alphabet below to personalize as much as you need to! Offered as a chart, this finishes approx 9-1/2 inches square on 28ct.
The Inn at Fox River Mill
What a charming piece! Little House's newest design, I love that house on the left -- look at the overdyeds in the stone and the trees. The roof looks like the shingles are really tiny bits of wood!
The little fox looks guilty of catching something delicious for lunch, and the mill is really neat over on the right -- especially with it's churning water wheel. Great colors, pretty acorn border along the top, I'd like to live there! Offered as the chart.
WOW this is a pretty piece! Finishing approx 11 x 16 on 32ct, this offers lots of design choices for you! Stitch the main sampler -- complete with the traditional border on three sides, and the names of the 13 original colonies. OR... stitch JUST the charming colonial village scene panel in the center -- it measures approx 50 x 90 in count of solid stitching.
Charted for DMC, Crescent Colours and Weeks Overdyed flosses, this is a beautiful piece with timeless appeal. No special stitches... just wonderful little X's! Offered as a chart.

A sweet piece stitched with overdyeds and DMCs... this finishes approx 5-1/2 x 9 on 30ct. PRETTY colors!
The North Wind
This piece warns that North Winds and Snow are on the way... but where do the robins go in the meantime! I'm not sure... my dogs chase them in my backyard everyday! I guess they 'hotel' in some other yard... and come to mine for exercise, excitement, and entertainment!
Stitched on 32ct, this finishes approx 5-1/2 x 11-1/2 and is worked in Crescent Colours hand-dyeds. (DMC conversions offered.)
A small design that can be stitched on any color of linen, in any color of thread! (Of course, it is entitled Snow WHITE... so you might want to stay close to that color suggestion!)
A simple silouette, sometimes less is more! Stitch count of 82 x 82, choose colors you like and stitch away!
2010 Ornaments of the Month!
Little House is delivering a charming set of 12 ornaments this year... here are the first few of the collection which will finish in December of 2010. Each is offered in chart format, and features approx the same stitch count.
Various colors of 30ct linens, a few have beads embellishments, but not all. Most are worked in DMC, the Red House in Winter features Crescent Colours's Bing Cherry. Cute, we have an auto-ship for these, so it's easy to collect the whole set.
Pumpkin Hollow Farms
Pick your Own Pumpkin!
Here's a cute Fall scene from Little House Needleworks... 81 x 158 stitches, DMC or overdyeds used!
Remembering American History and the Salem Witch Trials... this is certainly good advice these days... as history has proven! Lovely little houses, side by side, you could always personalize this as a friendship sampler, that middle row is charming! (maybe change out the gravestones for sunflowers???!)
Stitch count of 161 x 102, great overdyed color!!!
Diane has designed a Family Sampler with all sorts of *extra* people, pets and an alphabet, so you can fit *any and everybody* you want into YOUR Family Sampler! Offered in chart format, the entire sampler is laid out for you... with suggestions for 'people/pet' placements. There are some different colored dogs... three different sizes of children... lots to change, personalize and plan!
It uses only regular Cross Stitches -- but there are lots of places you could add some special stitches if you are so inclined. Finishing approx 13 x 19-1/2 on 32ct, the called-for colors are DMC and Crescent Colours -- but you might be changing some of those to match the pets, clothes and house that is special to your family!

Cute 69 x 69 stitch designs to celebrate each month... we've seen these stitched all together on one piece of fabric, and they are charming!
Offered as charts -- no thread or fabric -- Jan and Feb come together. March and April, May and June are paired... you get the idea. Very cute finished into little cube stand-ups, too!
Sarah Street - Faithfulness
An old-fashioned girl's sampler by Little House Needleworks, 'Let love and faithfulness never leave you.' Now, you CAN stitch in your own name... or the recipient's... or initials of a special grandmother or other family member... and you can change the date! (ALL in case you don't want someone else's name hanging in your house!!!)
Charming borders on this piece... each side is different! You could do a little Bargello in that bottom band, if you wanted to. Pretty floral motifs, a grand manor house, and rich over dyed colors throughout, Maple Syrup, Moss, Clay Pot, Sea Shelly, and Wild Berries (just some of them), this is a nice piece. Finishes approx 8 x 9-1/4 on 32ct, offered as the chart.

Simple Joys and The Mercantile
Little House Needleworks has two new designs. I love the flowing vine beneath the bird in Simple Joys, this piece has lovely symetry. It begs to be stitched on some mangy hand-dyed linen!
The Mercantile goes so perfectly with her Yesteryear and Old West designs, and the Country Cottage Cowboy Dreams piece! Both offered as charts, DMC or overdyed flosses, nice additions to Little House's growing collection of designs.
Mrs O'Leary's Dairy Farm and Virtue Sampler
Two of Little House's newest releases, both finish approx 7 x 10 on their respective fabrics, and are stitched with both DMC and Crescent Colours flosses. It appears that Mrs O'Leary has grown wise in these recent years... she's letting her cows graze in the front yard, NOT near the barn!!!
Cute pieces, full of Little House's personality!
Hey, this is fun... and offers a neat decoration for the lover of history and old tales! Actually, I can see this is a little boy's bedroom... a conversation piece to decide on the evenings bedtime reading -- especially at Grandma's House!

Your beach house somewhere exotic, accenting your nautical-flavored samplers, (or even a bathroom!!!) Pretty motifs, nice balance, you even get the mermaid and whale, along with the billowing winds! Charming... this is offered as a chart, finishing approx 5 x 11, stitched with DMCs and Crescent overdyeds.
A charming Christmas house... I think of our Mary -- your faithful SN webmaster! When she was in grad school for horticulture... she grew poinsettias in the Kansas State University greenhouses!!! (She critiques in nurserys all season long... but still enjoys big poinsettias every year!)
Offered as a chart, this finishes approx 7 x 7 on 28ct.
Evergreen, Holly, Mistletoe and Pine... all are nestled among the alphabet letters... that make up this stylized tree.
Offered as the chart in Diane's All Dolled Up series, it does use a few gold beads for the snowflake centers.
Evergreen, Holly, Mistletoe and Pine... all are nestled among the alphabet letters... that make up this stylized tree.
Offered as the chart in Diane's All Dolled Up series, it does use a few gold beads for the snowflake centers.
Little House Needleworks has a new design (all the parts of this are in this ONE chart!) ... a tribute to reading and all your favorite books! The Library showcases 4 types of literature -- Romance, Mystery, Western and Classic... each a 'window' into the library. Charming scenes, each is perched atop its book's type!
'An Open Book is a Window into the World.' The Romance section has a courting couple... Mystery has that classy town house -- where 'the incident allegedly took place!'... walk past the library door... to the Western section -- complete with its covered wagons, and onto the Classics -- sailing ships and all! I just love it!
Stitched on 32ct, it finishes approx 8 x 16, and uses Crescent hand-dyeds as well as DMC flosses. You'll need 2 skeins each of Roasted Chestnut, Caterpillar, Cayenne, Pea Pod, Brandied Pears, and Stepping Stones, along with the other colors. Offered as the chart.
Here's a pumpkin stand (by the side of the road?)... complete with its sales-mouse peeking out from his hiding place! The perky row of pumpkins finishes approx 13 x 4 on 28ct, and is worked with DMC and Crescent Colours overdyeds.
This is the PERFECT pattern to use all the pretty different dyelots of all your hand-dyeds... find all your favorite rusts, cinnamons, chestnuts - anything that looks like a pumpkin color and USE IT! A Sampling of Summer
Little House, Country Cottage, Miss Crescent's Crown and Primrose Needleworks have done a small collection of 4 charts -- all with a summer theme.
