Laundry Wahine Style! - Secret Needle Night for May 2013
Mona and I have JUST gotten home from a cruise to Hawaii -- and now have palm trees and grass skirts on our minds! (Oh yes, there is plenty of laundry to do as well!) So... the inspiration to re-work a previous Secret Needle Night design that was a Super-Favorite -- Laundry in Paradise! Our *Chick Laundry Line* has that little Arctic Rays skirt, Weeks hand-dyed perle in the palm fronds, and little shells we brought home from our trip! Use them for the bikini top, and shells on the sand. We have tiny wooden coconuts in the trees as well!
Complete kit on 18ct buttermilk linen contains the threads, embellishments and chart. Mona's Finishing Kit includes the precut mounting boards, pre-tied bow, little shell-topped pin to decorate your pre-tied bow... all the 'pre-stuff' has been lovingly made for you by Magic By Mona!

Mr. Socks - Secret Needle Night for April 2013
We've always loved little sock monkeys... and Mona found us the CUTEST fabrics for finishing... so we charted one of our own! Stitched in tweeded flosses on 18ct natural linen, he has bits of #5 perle cotton, and is a SUPER-easy stitch!
Our kit includes the chart with pom-pom info, linen and threads to stitch him. The optional finishing kit offers the twisted cord edging, pre-cut mounting boards, all the finishing fabrics and instructions for a Quick 'n Easy Easel stand-up, as well as the wire for his legs and tail!!! Yours will turn out just like ours!

Gingerbread Fred
Meet Gingerbread Fred -- the sweetest guy at The Silver Needle! Stitched on 18ct linen with gingerbread-y Very Velvet Velour thread and opalescent metallic frosting, we've trimmed him with peppermint buttons.
Mona has made him into a stand-up... so he can be a 5-inch cooky on the kitchen counter, instead of a plate! Offered as our complete kit of chart, fabric, specialty threads and embellishments, Mona's finishing kit is offered separately.

My Ghoulfriends
We thought we'd stitch a little tribute to Girlfriends everywhere this month! Our silly design may remind you of several of your friends... and we hope it makes you smile, rather than scream! Our complete kit comes with all the fun, novelty threads, the 18ct linen cut and a smattering of bead embellishments.
This is our August Secret Needle Night design -- we decided to skip the predictable Back-to-School theme -- and go straight to Halloween!!! Mona's finishing kit for the banner hanging includes all the felts, fabrics, templates and pretty bow!

Sunshine House
Presenting this month's Secret Needle Night... our sunny birdhouse has a funky bird tending to his colorful garden of fun flowers. Stitched in #5 Perle cottons this month -- we just kept the stitching easy, and concentrated on all those fun, lavish buttons.
Mona made a darling bird-house stand-up, and her finishing kit is offered as well, so your Sunshine House will look just like ours! We've been stitching little seasonal houses and businesses for Secret Needle Night this year, so we thought it was time to celebrate stitchers everywhere with a cheerful stitching cabin in the woods! We've labeled our's 'Camp Wannasew', after our shop weekends!
Lots of #5 Perle Cottons, we've garnished the cabin with scissors, in case the stitchers didn't bring any! Mini hand-made flosses in the stitching basket, and that darling brown dog waiting to greet you! Mona's finishing kit makes the Quick 'n Easy Easel Stand-up. Complete kits available for $27 each, and include EVERYTHING you need -- even the hand-twisted cord and Mona-made bow! Our recipe this month is for Trail Mix Cookies!
