We love our FLAX clothes... and have begun to carry their current lines.
Loose, soft, relaxing, classy, elegant and just plain FUN to wear... these clothes look good on everybody who tries them on!
The cuts are designed to flatter and feature the best parts of you... and 'disguise' anything else!
Everything is 100% linen, with the exception of some of the gauze-weight pieces which have 52% linen and 48% cotton content.
The 100% linen pieces feature a lovely, gentle pigment-looking dye color. I've pulled our Weeks Dye Works flosses to describe the colors to you further down on the page. Mix and match the colors in your outfits.
Some the jackets and tanks are constructed on the bias, so they drape smoothly and slenderize. Lots of sleeve options for rolling! Lots of length options, too.
Most of the skirt and pant waistbands are softly elastic banded... The Flood Pants have been FLAX's top selling piece every year for 20 years!
Nothing requires an iron -- there are NO OFFICIAL FLAX RULES regarding irons -- you can dry clean and professionally press all of this if you want -- or you can toss it in your washing machine and then just hang it to dry. A neat travel trick -- hang your FLAX in the bathroom with you while you take your morning shower -- the steam works wonders -- and you haven't done a thing!
Everything is designed to be layered or mix-and-matched. You can do a million different outfit combinations -- especially with the neutral tanks, jackets and Floods. Trying all of this on is really fun -- You just never know what you'll fall in love with.
I've loved and worn FLAX for almost 20 yearss. My favorite boutique in Tulsa -- Mango & Salsa -- closed last year... the owner retired. I went into FLAX mourning, because I couldn't find a retailer in all of Oklahoma.
On the way home from an out-of-state shopping trip with girlfriends, I had them tell me all the reasons WHY Silver Needle couldn't start carrying FLAX... and HERE you see the results of that totally fun, and very official meeting in the car, on the drive home!!!!!

Wow... this is a cute collection! We concentrated on the Poppy and Gargoyle colors both in the regular linen weight and the awesome
double woven, reversible gauze. That gauze is just the coolest stuff to wear -- and it's such a fun, relaxed look... it's always the
favorite fabric. Since it is reversible, they have made it two color. You'll notice a lighter and darker shade... so we reverse
opposite pieces in the same outfit to get totally looks! I opted for all sorts of different pieces -- some long, some short, so here we go!
Sunshine's Double-Faced Gauze
We LOVE this fabrication! I took a close-up picture of our Sunshine Coral Faced and Grey Faced Gauzes, so you could see the weave
detail. Loose gauze, there are two sides -- one a lighter color and the other the darker. Woven together actually, the two colors
compliment each other beautifully. Roll your sleeves a little -- andyou'll be treated to the coordinating color. All the seams in
these reversible gauze pieces are double sewn. Nothing to pull out or fray, they are finished on both sides for a truly reversible style.
Sleeveless Bias Tank
It's cut on the bias, so it DRAPES really well. Nice and long...it covers you if you wear it with slacks. We have it in the Poppy and
Gargoyle Linen, as well as the Coral and Grey Faced Gauze. Wear it under the short Sun Cardi or longer X-Specially Nice.

3/4 Crop V
Darling top -- just a medium length -- not too long, but doesn't let anything hang out! We have this is both the poppy and gargoyle
linens and gauzes. It looks great all by itself, but you can also put a white t under it, or even the tank!

Banded Pullover
This is really a dress. It features 3/4 sleeves and when you roll them, you get the inside color. Then... watch the band at the
bottom! It matches the sleeve when it's rolled. OR... you can reverse the pullover. I wear it with leggings... it's just about the
length of my above-the-knee skirts, and it looks GREAT with any slacks. We have this in the two gauze colors of coral and Grey Faced.

Wow... what a cute little jacket! We have the two gauze colors as well as the solid Poppy Linen. It is great over the tank or the 3/4
V as well as that Banded Pullover! And of course, just pair it with a white T and wear it with the white Shoreline pants!

X-Specially Nice
This is that cute longer jacket piece. We have had it before in other collections, and it's a great piece. It wears well buttoned or
open -- and looks very different in the linen vs the gauze. The gauze is a more relaxed 'open-shirt' kind of look, the linen covers
EVERYTHING if you wear it buttoned. Real cute on lots of different body shapes! Another piece we ordered in both the Poppy and Gargoyle
Linen as well as both gauze options.

Shoreline Pants
Hey, SKINNY pants!!! Very cute... these are slightly longer than the Ankle Pants from BOLD. They are narrower like that. There is
a double layer of fabric near the bottom -- so they roll up VERY nicely... very crisp. Flat front, elastic back. We ordered these in
several colors: White, (cloud) Gargoyle, Khaki and Poppy linen. We didn't get anything else in the Khaki except these -- it is a very
warm color and looks nice with the Coral Faced and Poppy -- not so good with the greys.

Floods Up
These are the regular FLAX Floods -- only they have a button up inside, so you can roll them, and button them up! Very fun
option. We have them in Poppy and Gargoyle Linen.

Light ice-creamy colors of Blue Bonnet, Aqua, White and Lemon Sherbet... this collection boasts solid lightweight linen and the same colors in a waffle-weave of semi-gauze. Not all gauze... the 'checks' are approx 1-1/2 inches in area. Our color swatches do not show the semi-gauze -- you just have to trust us that it's really pretty and fun! The semi is not as sheer as regular gauze weight.

Wow... we ordered a ton of this one... because it is so darn cute! 3/4 Sleeves to roll if you want... double layers of linen in
the front with front top stitching -- this offers good coverage if you have something gauzy on underneath. CUTE when worn buttoned closed as well. Shorter than the Shapely, with no collar. Perky! We have this in the linens and gauzes of all 4 colors.

Cut Off
Here's a long piece -- to drape you! Offered in the Blue Bonnet or White semi-gauze... this looks great over any of the tops and especially nice with the Ankle Pants that are coming up. Lots of great pleating detail in the back... cute worn open or closed.

That same great pull-on skirt from Neutrals... pocket detail is good and ON THE FRONT of the skirt -- so no bulk or embarrassing bumps

Luscious linen weights in this collection -- everything is a soft and super drapey weave -- the Twill is the heaviest, Semi-Sheer is next, and the Plaids are the lightweight linen. We choose Floods to match all the jackets, and a few Plaid styles to wear as accent pieces. The fiber content of each piece is 52% Linen, 48% cotton... which ads to the gentle-dyed look of everything. Just lovely! We have everything in Petites to Large.

Just a basic piece... we needed these to go underneath all the cute jackets. Not super-short... but not as long as the Buttoned Over. Available in cherry, Champagne and Plum Semi-Sheer.

This is DARLING! Cute back styling of buttons and pleated treatment... it's flat and plain in the front, but gives you so much flowing fabric on the back, and lots of personality. Trimmed Jacket
This is KILLER! The collar is large and fringed, and the sleeves are 3/4 length with more of the fringe garnish on them. You don't need to roll these sleeves, so you don't lose that cute detail. The Tour Shirts look good underneath this, as well as the tanks. We matched it with the Tie Dress and Floods. Straight linen cuts rather than Bias like the Caper. Bias Back Caper
Here's another KILLER jacket. Joining the black one from Neutrals, we have this one in Champagne, Cherry and Plum Twill. It drapes so well, because of that graceful bias cut in the back. It doesn't look 'boxy' from the front, and you get a nice flair on the back side. Very, very pretty.

Hey... a cute little vest! Short in the back so it doesn't stick out undeneath the jackets... you never know you have it on from the back. We LOVE these little guys. We had them last summer, and they are a definite *want 'em in every color* kind of style. Elastic waist, fun
pocket detail that is not too baggy, you can cinch the bottoms together a little for some leg definition, or just leave them loose. Nice length -- these look good on every body shape. We have them in Black, Natural, and Vienna Roast. (Also this style in BOLD -- the blues and whites!)

Ankle Pants
A new style, these are wonderful. Another that looks good on several different body shapes, they have an elastic waist with a flat front
panel. The legs are shorter than Floods, and feature a little opening dart at the bottom. I rolled mine to see if that would work to give them a different look -- and they were real cute. NOT too much fabric in the hips and rear, either! WAY different than the Floods. We have these in Black and Natural... and farther along in the BOLD colors of Aqua, Bluebonnet and White!

Fabulous Floods
FLAX's favorite slack style, these are overtaking the Floods!!! Same generous flowing leg, and elastic waist... only these feature a flat
panel front band! Smoother look beneath a tank. We have these in black... but as with some of others -- we have these in the brighter BOLD colors, too.

Cargo Skirt
SO EASY! This is a pull-on skirt... elastic panel in the back, smooth in the front... just step into it! The cargo pocket detail in all the way on the front -- so the pockets do not bulge and do not open over your hips. Very slenderizing because NOTHING is going on outside your hips, also a nice length -- NOT too short. Available in Natural in Neutrals -- but that pretty Aqua and Blue Bonnet and the White of Bold.

Bias Back Caper
This is a great little jacket -- long sleeves, curved darts in front and back, and that lovely bias cut fabric on the back... this just drapes beautifully on every figure. That bias back give you so much more flexibility when moving and reaching, and it 'swings' a little when you walk. Very graceful... along with some colors in Select... we have this jacket in black... Spicy and Bold... this is a gorgeous collection of smooth linens, but all accented with coordinating pieces in *Raw.* Tanks, jackets, slacks and a cute tunic style... you can go all solid, you can mix the colors together with different pieces, and you can go long or short! The Raw linen fabric is a coarser weave featuring multiple shades of the basic color. It drapes softly and has a real *Retro* flavor. There is a new slack style -- much trimmer than the favorite Floods -- and the Bias Back Jacket looks STUNNING on everyone who has tried it on so far! Here we go!
Goldenrod: A brilliant, deep mustard color, very strong, I have pale gold jeans that work with it! Can always pair denim or black. DMC 3820
Volcano: Great salt and pepper combo, the Raw is super-cool! DMC 535
Koi: Quite a surprise -- an awesome orange with lots of red in it. The Raw is stunning!!! DMC 347

Mediterranean: I swear this has black and blue in the solid linen -- it appears to change color in different light. The Raw does have a mixture of black and the deep blue -- very classy. It's a combo of DMC 3750 and 3808
Splaying Tank:
I ordered this in all the solid linens. Cut on the bias, fits well. LONG -- it hits at a nice longer length past your hips. It goes well underneath all the jackets.

Crossover Tank:
I ordered this one in the Raw colors. A little more forgiving on the stomach and bust fit... the front features an opening so it can 'spread' a little and still keep a nice shape.

New Tunic:
This is a darling long-sleeved, long top! Slimming seams down the front and back, the side pocket is a fun treatment, and it sports a bit of a flair at the bottom, so it fits well over a denim skirt or jeans. Nice longer length. I ordered these in the Raw Linens.

Limitless Jacket:
VERY cute! A short jacket, this features coordinating trim of either solid or raw linen -- depending on your jacket fabric. I ordered mostly Raw in this style to set off that Splaying Tank.

Bias Back Jacket:
QUITE a FAVORITE! Great long length, fitted in the shoulders, pretty oversized buttons down the front, very flowing bias cut on the back, this is very flattering. I ordered it in every size in the Raw... and linens in the Emerald and Mediterranean. I can't tell you how good this one looks. Pair it with a tank and wear with jeans, or dress it up with the skirt!

New Fitting Slims:
Wow... flat placket front -- button and zipper -- BUTTTTT... I could pull them on and off without undoing any of that thanks to the elastic back. MUCH slimmer in the legs -- much less fabric going on! We ordered a ton of these -- both smooth linen and raw. Very nice look with the jackets and that tunic.

A basic, medium skirt -- below the knee length. Nice flair, I ordered the smooth linens, so that you could be 'subtle on the bottom' and 'accent the top' with the more interesting coordinating raw colors.

Pocketbook Dress:
Just a longer version of the New Tunic! Real cute... it features a HUGE side pocket as a garnish... but we've decided that you might want to sew a BIG 'OL button on there to corral that pocket a little. It's a neat detail if you keep it under control! If you can do long sleeves underneath a jacket, this is lovely underneath the Limitless and Bias Back. I ordered this in the Raw colors.

A stunning array of brown, cream and navy fabrics and weaves! Everything goes together, we really like the casual comfort of this collection. 100% Linen. It appears that the Generous sizes all run $4 more per piece than the other sizes.
The Basket Plaid fabrics have a special weave to them. Along with the Nightshadow or Vicuna color, there is a bit of cream in these. The weave of the linen varies and delivers that neat plaid effect.
The Ribbed linen is solid but features raised ribbed 'stripes' of texture -- not as qauzy as the Basket Plaids.
Homespun Linen is the regular, FLAX linen finish -- traditional.
Marled Linen delivers a deep brown and navy combo... you get some subtle stripe impression with this one. The navy in here actually looks black.
Vicuna Ticking is a pretty herringbone pattern, soft cream and the light cocoa brown.
Denim Twill is simply a denim and cream twill. It looks like the dusty gray-blues in some of the pieces, a great accent color.
Brown Box is a KILLER! A 1/2-inch checkerboard of brown and NAVY -- the navy looks totally black to me -- but it's actually blue. This is the only fabric this time that is 52% Linen and 48% Cotton.
Navy Box is the same pattern, only too dark to see color differences. We ordered this in the Caboose Vest as an accent piece, and concentrated on the Brown Box.
Lickety Split Tank
Neat neckline treatment, a basic tank to fit underneath EVERYTHING! We ordered this in the Vanilla and Vicuna Basket Plaids, and the Vanilla and Vicuna Ribbed Linens. You get one that looks plaid and gauzy, one that looks more on the solid side.

Blazes Tunic
A fun cover-up -- just a really long tank! Looks great over the slacks or skirts... Wear it however you want! We have Vanilla Basket Plaid and Vicuna Ribbed Linen.

Rodeo Tee
3/4 Sleeves and a button-down front treatment, this is an all-around GREAT top. Pairs well with the Caboose Vest because the neck details and sleeves show. We have this in the Vanilla Ribbed, Vicuna Ribbed Linen, Vicuna Plaid, and Nightshadow Plaid.

A Shapely Version

Our FLAX Return Policy:
Sometimes, just holding something in your hand is all you need to decide that it's just the perfect thing! Sadly enough, however, some
things just don't work out for one reason or another... and a return is needed. Our FLAX Return policies:
Please call or e-mail the shop first, to alert us of the return.
Please send along a copy of the sales slip that arrived with the order when you ship your return... and a note explaining the
situation. Daytime contact info for you, as well! Sometimes, things come back to us with no notes... and we don't know what to do with them!
Any returnable items must be in re-saleable condition -- original packaging intact, absence of pet hair or cigarette smoke, etc.
Returns of FLAX for any reason must be made within 2 weeks of original purchase date. Garments must not be altered, worn,
(includes no make-up residue from *trying on*) laundered or dry cleaned. All original FLAX tags must be intact.
If Silver Needle has made an error with your order, we will reimburse your return shipping via UPS ground, or the US mail. Please make sure
it can arrive to us safely! If you are choosing to return an item because you've changed your mind, shipping will be at your expense.
Any obviously defective items will be credited their purchase price.
Sale and Special Order items are not returnable.
Please open your order immediately on receipt, and check it. Any claim for errors in shipment or charges need to be made within 7 days.
