The first images from the shop cruise came from Lindy this morning, from Prague, in the Czech Republic. (Remember when you had to learn to spell Czechoslovakia? Well, no longer!)
From Lindy: We're here in Prague beginning our Christmas wishes cruise down the Danube with Jeannette Douglas. Tonight in Prague we stay at a hotel. We transfer to Nuremberg tomorrow and get on the AmaPrima.
Lindy is emailing images and comments from her phone, so her descriptions will be short.
We're here in Prague beginning our Christmas wishes cruise down the Danube with Jeannette Douglas. Just a few of my quick pics today.
Just love the green on this building and all those gorgeous windows!
And someone's gorgeous little balcony!
And we walked across the St Charles bridge. Just majestic and charming all at the same time.
Christmas Market Tree in Prague.
November 30, 2015 Nuremburg: A few pics from a small Christkindle Market we visited for a bit. Everything is charming. The Guhlwine really IS yummy... especially in 40 degrees with the rain falling!!! Hope we see some sun today!

We had a wonderful day today at the Nuremburg Christmas markets. When we returned from yet another cold rainy day of shopping, which was over/the-top fun anyway, we were treated to our Jeannette Douglas exclusive Down the Danube sampler. Here we are stitching and shopping at the silver needle riverside Pop up shop on the AmaPrima. Can you see that It's dark outside? We are actually passing through a lock on the Danube canal. It was only 4 in the afternoon!!! Tomorrow is another Christmas market in Regensburg and more stitching!

This is why I love Europe! Look at this single little window we walked past today!
We spent part of the day at the Christmas market by Thurn and Taxis castle today. Greenery everywhere. Mulled wine, cider, sausages and pastries all scented the air. Music too. Just enchanting. Everything here has been handmade by the artists selling.
Back on the AmaPrima... our private ornament exchange... what a lot of talent and creativity!

Salzburg and Linz
We were in Salzburg and Linz today. One of the market stalls had little fish sandwiches. They were gorgeous!
I love all the narrow cobblestone streets...
And talk about shopping overload! Is this what The Silver Needle looks like to you guys on your first trip in the shop??? WOW!!! Every market stall booth looks like this!!!
And now for the Sound of Music portion of our show.... recognize these? (Think Do-Re-Mi)
So cool. The tour guide had movie pictures to show us the actual places we were!!!! Gotta watch the movie again!!!
Note from Mary: I think the next few pics are all Vienna.
All these abbeys and churches and staircases!!!!! This one was at least 10 stories of stone steps and wrought iron rails!
Pretty church... just along the way!
A lovely square with a cathedral on one side contrasting with a totally modern glass building on the other.
This one is awesome! We've seen frescos that were painted to look like the ceiling is curved but actually flat! This one is the inside of a beautiful dome.
The Loch Ness monster washed up through the bathroom sink drain last night!!!
The wood floors in Schonbrunn palace are original. Wood cut across the grain. Shiny from the patina of hundreds of years of walking feet!!!
Well we hit this market too!!! Right after an awesome palace tour!
We've just arrived in Budapest, the final city of our trip. We're stitching till lunch and then hitting the town and markets this afternoon. Tonight they are dimming our lights and cruising up and down the river so we can see all the lights.
A hidden inner courtyard we stumbled upon!! Only one narrow alley way in here!!!
An abbey tour view of the city.
A view without the stone arches in my view.
Lunch at the market. The pans are 3 feet across!!!
More gorgeous pans of food!!!
And a chocolate shop for desert!
The stoves are old. Porcelain doors on them are hand painted and charming!
We went to the local market today. Gorgeous produce and meat.
Imagine shopping this everyday!!
Here's the meat!!! Just a few feet and stomachs! Yuck!!!
Even the manhole covers are pretty here!
We walked across the Chain Bridge today and took a little tram up the hill to the president's house. Funicular is what they called the little car.
Our view from the top...
Our ride down the hill!!!
